所謂設(shè)計(jì),源自創(chuàng)作者對(duì)特定人或物件的深刻感受,進(jìn)而引發(fā)情感或美感面的抽象、具象傳達(dá)。

簡(jiǎn)言之,空間設(shè)計(jì)跟其他藝術(shù)練習(xí)一樣,都是一種去蕪存菁的自我修煉,但空間設(shè)計(jì)跟他類藝術(shù)最大的不同點(diǎn),在于它既是設(shè)計(jì)者個(gè)人的獨(dú)家觀點(diǎn),線條、比例、機(jī)能、空間感缺一不可、同時(shí)也是一種與某人、某家庭協(xié)力的共同創(chuàng)作,設(shè)計(jì)師借由觀察、需求評(píng)估、機(jī)能整合、歸納使用者喜好與性格特質(zhì),進(jìn)而打造空間作品的獨(dú)一無(wú)二與專屬性。

以本案為例,「自由」與「歸零」是兩大主軸,拓過(guò)不設(shè)限的思考,跳脫以往制式語(yǔ)匯的套用與束縛,積極還原空間的純粹質(zhì)地。

首先進(jìn)門玄關(guān)處貼墻規(guī)劃一列展示暨收納高柜,以融于背景的低調(diào)素樸手法,滿足必要的生活機(jī)能,而為了打破以往僵化的格局框架,公領(lǐng)域主要以異材質(zhì)組接來(lái)施作天地分際線,并形塑數(shù)座半高的量體陣列,與流暢的十字動(dòng)線結(jié)合以分化場(chǎng)域,逐次打造玄關(guān)、客廳、餐廳、輕食吧臺(tái)區(qū)等多個(gè)機(jī)能單元,隨性卻不失秩序的聚落佈局,適時(shí)揮發(fā)著情趣與情感黏著力,讓各自于宅中四處活動(dòng)的家人間,深刻感受一種親密又自由的氛圍,而借由散置陣列靈活架構(gòu)的點(diǎn)、線、面,保有視覺(jué)與光影的流動(dòng)之美,清爽俐落、看久不膩的既視設(shè)定,也讓空間獲得極限舒展。

公領(lǐng)域中作為重要介質(zhì)的三座半墻陣列各擁機(jī)能,第一座定位玄關(guān)劃定里外;兼作進(jìn)門的迎賓端景,而木石互現(xiàn)的矩陣低臺(tái)錯(cuò)落層次,精致之外也饒富況味。第二座為客廳電視半墻,面向客廳端延續(xù)線條、木石素材的組合變化,而墻后附鑲的書格柜機(jī)能,無(wú)形中也平添餐廳的書香人文。第三座量體為水槽中島銜接餐桌而成的多功能軸線,除了餐敘飲宴之外;更是理想的交誼、休閑、親子互動(dòng)據(jù)點(diǎn)。

客廳區(qū)簡(jiǎn)斂明凈,刻意簡(jiǎn)化層次與線條堆迭的天花板,本質(zhì)相對(duì)輕盈,而沙發(fā)背墻與餐廳背墻兩面相呼應(yīng)的留白與線性分割,適度闡述沉淀之功,并滿足放大面寬、強(qiáng)化比例平衡、整合房門動(dòng)線等潛目的。極度干凈的場(chǎng)景,最能回饋人在空間中的移動(dòng)、停駐、相互交流的溫度,偶而將視線移向餐桌外陽(yáng)臺(tái)的蓊郁綠影,心靈隨之平和凈化。

設(shè)計(jì)不過(guò)度;取材、上色、粉妝施力有度,加上設(shè)計(jì)者深厚的美學(xué)涵養(yǎng),讓有限的空間不僅是生活學(xué)美的領(lǐng)域,更是累積生活軌跡,賦予居住者真正舒適與身心療愈的有容棲所。

私領(lǐng)域取精美材質(zhì)、細(xì)致作工、浪漫情調(diào)光來(lái)呈現(xiàn)細(xì)節(jié)質(zhì)感,主臥室過(guò)濾華麗、厚重堆砌,床畔巧設(shè)梳妝區(qū),另配上隱藏式拉門保有不用時(shí)的立面完整性,主浴的設(shè)計(jì)諸如二近式動(dòng)線、坐浴區(qū)、乾濕分離等,皆是深入觀察使用者日常作息后總結(jié)而成的巧思。

The so-called design originates from the visceral feelings of the designer toward certain people or things, and subsequently triggers the abstract or tangible communication from the aspect of emotions or aesthetics.

In brief, similar to all other artistic practices, space design is a type of self-purification by which the dispensable is discarded and the essence is retained. It nevertheless differs most prominently from other art forms by simultaneously being a product of the unique personal viewpoint of the designer and a collaborative effort in conjunction with the clients and their families. It is infused with the designer’s concept of lines, proportions, functions, and sense of space, each being an indispensable factor; at the same time, the uniqueness and exclusivity of a work of space is forged by the designer through observation, evaluation of needs, consolidation of functions, and incorporation of the client’s preferences and character traits.

This case is an example of how, with the two main themes of “freedom” and “emptiness,” the purity of space is actively restored by providing free rein to unorthodox thinking and by breaking off from the restraints imposed by the mechanical application of conventional design discourse.

At the entryway, tall cabinets are installed in line against the wall for storage and display, which quietly merge into the background with their low profile and simplicity while serving necessary functions for daily living. In order to break the customary stodgy layout, fixtures of novel textures are installed in the public space as a dividing line between the ceiling and floor. An array of several half-height structures combined with a streamlined crisscross moving route divide the space into separate fields, including functional units such as the entryway, living room, dining room, and snack bar. The layout design, casual yet not without order, exudes a sense of fun and emotive power, creating a free yet intimate ambience for family members as they move around in the residence. The dots, lines, and planes created with flexibly structured fitments strewn around the space retain a visually stunning fluidity of light and shadow. The neat and refreshing design never bores the eyes and provides a sense of capaciousness by extending the space to its maximum.

Serving important purposes in the public space, three fixtures standing half way up the wall in height boast of different functions. The first unit, installed in the entryway and carving out a sense of division between the interior and the exterior, serves as a greeting sight for guests who enter the door; the low matrix-style cupboard, fashioned with both wood and stone, provides an exquisite sensation and oozes a charming air. The second unit, forming a semi-wall on the back of the TV set, extends the lines and wood-stone texture from the living room creating an impression of variety. The bookshelf space embedded on the back of the wall quietly adds a literary atmosphere to the dining room. The third fixture serves as a multipurpose axis connecting the island counter with a sink and the dining table. In addition to being highly functional at dinner parties and banquets, it is a focal point for socializing, relaxation, and parent–child interaction.

The living room, simple and bright, has purposely done away with the frill-laden ceiling, and exhibits a light wooden texture. The back wall against the sofa and the one in the dining room, aptly simple yet stately, echo each other in blankness and dividing linearity, while serving the purpose of extending the width, accentuating proportional balance, and consolidating the moving route passing each door. The immense simplicity lends easily to moving, staying, and interacting of people in the space; moreover, the patch of verdure on the veranda adjoining the dining table bestows a sense of peace and purification on the mind.

In the private living area, a sense of quality is painstakingly crafted with finely textured decorations and romantic mood lighting. In the master bedroom, overly ornate embellishments have been dispensed with, a dressing table has been neatly fitted into the nook beside the bed, and a tucked-away sliding door retains the fa?ade’s integrity when not in use. The master bathroom is carefully designed keeping in mind the residents’ habits, and boasts of features, such as double moving routes, a bath area, and separate toilet and shower.

The designer’s refined taste, coupled with sensible design, quality materials, a pleasing color palette, and careful decorative work, has created a space imbued with the aesthetics of everyday life, and a space that will surely become a sanctuary of true comfort and relaxation for the residents.
